Excessive asceticism should be avoided. Strict food restrictions do not help you to achieve Realization

Saints know EVERYTHING about us and still have unconditional love: "I know all about you and I love you."

Spiritual knowledge is not a thing, a toy that you can play with. You have to sacrifice something

Formal Spiritual Teachings and Lessons are nothing. One who poses as a teacher does so only to satisfy his own ego.

Saints are not confined to any sectarian religion or dogmas and honor the purity of spirit, no matter what the tradition or lineage.

Sectarian symbols or any external signs of one’s spiritual life are unnecessary

Sat Guru lets us gently come to our own conclusions over time, rather than commanding us to change our ways overnight - it’s not human nature to change one’s moral or ethical nature in an instant

Drenched in love - Guru lifts the veil of maya, the illusion that makes us all feel separate and alone.

Spiritual Path is not straight or laid out before us - new choices have to be made, and rules have to be changed for that moment.

Karma Yoga - selffless work while remembering God is the smoothest path for householders to reach God

The highest grace of Guru is freeing form attachment to physical form and establishing a bond in the heart
