(from "Mast - the Ecstatic" by Mohanji):
Gautama told the students, "Our path is the golden path. The path of fire. Those who are not eligible to walk our path won't stand the heat. Their feet will burn and they will leave. The Path itself will ensure this. People gravitate towards delivered knowledge or oral knowledge. They are not craving for experience. Only experience can give transformation. Words cannot give transformation. They can only carry information. Words are chaff. Words are unnecessary. The grain is hidden inside. Real Masters give experiences. People are afraid of them because they don't give these experiences easily. One has to crave for it and make the effort to extract it from the Master. Once you dig out, what you get is nectar, pure nectar. No beating around the bush. But people don't wait long enough for that."

Vira Chandra: Guruji Amritananda used to say that "The highest transmission happens in total silence." Words and teachings can only at best prepare a soul to get real transformation, like a fertilizer that can prepare a soil so thus a seed that is planted in it afterward can flourish rapidly.
